Charlie, I have known you for 40 years as a great loyal friend, a real rugby man, a funny and charismatic entertainer, you could hold a room, you took your family responsibilities seriously, you were devoted to Belinda and the children, you were a deceptively smart businessman and understated community servant - we had so much fun over the years, and are desperately sad but honoured to have been a friend and part of your life.
